Well, years ago Jim learned that following along in the text while listening to an unabridged recording can greatly increase a child's ability to unlock the mystery of reading, because pronunciation, pause, emphasis, and characterization are already taken care of - all you do is follow along!

This was reinforced when Jim attended the International Dyslexic Association Convention in Orlando. Every speaker agreed that following along while listening to an audio book can also help a Dyslexic learn to read! Not in all cases, of course, but the general rule was universally recognized.

This fact prompted Jim to compile his 101 G. A. Henty Novels In Text File Format CD. Any word processing software will recognize this file type and you can read these great books on your computer screen or print your own copy! Pick a different font, make the text larger or smaller, search for vocabulary words, find specific characters - you name it - text files will make it possible for you.
